Here are some designs I developed for my college's newspaper. I was in charge of produce budgets for pages I was assigned and assembling the content gathered for each issue into layout designs. Some issues we had physical copies to be distributed throughout campus while we had others only as a digital PDF. Another responsibility of mine was to upload content I was in charge of each week onto our website.
Fun Page
One section of the newspaper is titled Fun Page, which features content that is more playful in comparison to the factual new stories from previous pages. I redeveloped the structure of the fun page as it used to offer only puzzles, sudoku, and word searches. The page was reframed to include new material like photo submissions, poems, and short stories. I implemented bright colors to attract the readers' attention, being attentive to incorporate green and blue to tie the college's identity to the paper. I divided the content on the page into boxes to ensure the material is organized.
